Villa Del Sol Pension House is a family-owned company. It is managed and operated by the members of the Alturas-Yu Family with roots originating from Tagbilaran City in Bohol.

Their interest in building a pension house started when their friends and relatives would tour Bohol and there always were not enough room to accommodate them. The hospitality of Ms. Ursula Alturas-Yu, the matriarch of the Alturas-Yu family, prompted them to construct a big house beside the bay of Mansasa in Tagbilaran City, Bohol. Mr. Primo Yu the patriarch of the Alturas-Yu family and a successful businessman thought of ways on how they can transform the big house into an income generating business, since the Alturas-Yu family is based in Manila. Because of the experience and expertise of Mr. Yu, they decided to construct a pension house with 8 rooms just beside the big house overlooking the Mansasa seaside.

The Pension house became operational on April of 2005. Villa del Sol also offers package tours from countryside tours to the sandy and white beaches of Panglao island and the dive spot of Balicasag Island. After a year, the family decided to fast track the success of Villa del Sol. The homey ambiance and the hospitality of the personnel made Villa del Sol an instant hit among local tourists. Outdoor activities are now being introduced by Villa del Sol to its guests, not just scuba diving in dive spots of Balicasag island, but also kayaking along the bay, mountain climbing at Loboc and a visit to the magnificent cave, the largest cave in bohol with large stalactites and stalagmites. You can also tour around Tagbilaran going to Dauis and Panglao using a mountain bike, and if you are more into adventure rides, you can go to the trails of Loboc and Loon towns with a single track and rolling hills.
